Regisseur Dagur Kári schetst een komisch maar tragisch portret van het benauwde leven in een van de wereld afgesloten gemeenschap.De ouderen drinken en zwijgen, de jongeren lijken zich zonder morren te schikken in de loop der dingen. Alleen Nói verzet zich tegen zijn omgeving en probeert op aandoenlijk onhandige manier te verwezenlijken.

| | Herzog head Berlin film festival jury
| Werner Herzog will head the jury at the Berlin Film Festival. Herzog, currently overseeing the release of his latest project, Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, was chosen because he 'influenced an entire generation of filmmakers', festival boss Dieter Kosslick has announced in a statement. Kosslick adds, ''s films convey the artistic strength of cinema. We are very pleased to have this outstanding director as jury president for the 60th anniversary of the festival.' The festival will run from 11 to 21 February, 2010.
